Courses: Reflexology
What is Reflexology ?
Reflexology is the natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the hands and feet, which correspond to every part, gland, and organ of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way.
History Of Reflexology
The practice of Reflexology has existed for many centuries with some evidence dating back to the early Egyptian culture of 2300 BC. In modern times Reflexology was researched and developed as a science, in the early 1930’s.
How Can Reflexology Help?
Through application of pressure on the reflexes found in the hands and feet, Reflexology relieves stress, relaxes tension, improves circulation and promotes the natural function of the related areas of the body.
Can Reflexology Be Harmful?
No, it cannot harm a person nor will it make any condition worse. Reflexology normalises body functions and reduces stress that could adversely affect your health. Overall, it is a safe and effective way to improve one’s health. With proper training and instruction, a Reflexologist only needs to use the hands. No special equipment is necessary. Reflexology is not recommended to treat specific conditions, diagnose or prescribe. It also is not intended to replace conventional medical treatments. Its true purpose is to promote better health through a pro-active approach, a goal similar to that of good nutrition and regular exercise.
